CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION IMPROVEMENT DIRECTOR
Newly created position that will report to an Executive Director
Position created in response to rapid growth in the ambulatory and post acute areas of the health system
Multi-hospital health system in NC with a 400+ provider physician group
5 direct reports including 2 CDI Managers and 3 Physician Advisers) with total FTEs of 25+
Primary initiative for the Director upon joining the organization will be to implement the structure, processes, procedures and technologies needed to effectively manager the growth occurring in the ambulatory and post acute areas.
Further development of provider training curriculum will also be a high priority
Seeking a CDI professional with 5+ years of management experience in a multi-hospital health system and someone who is highly knowledgeable about CDI and who is aware of how CDI is going to evolve over the short term
Licensure as a clinician (RN, NP or PA) is required
Compensation will be $100K+ depending upon experience & credentials

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing Human Resource leadership including planning, organizing, and directing integrated HR Services consistent with the organizations` strategic plan and goals. This position formulates objectives, develops plans and programs, evaluates costs, and assists in the preparation and administration of human resource budgets and monitors department adherence to budget. The incumbent works in tandem with management to identify opportunities, problems or potential problems and then assists in developing hospital-wide systems, procedures and policies for the most effective and beneficial development and utilization of its human resources. The incumbent will provide advice and guidance to employees, managers, and administration regarding all areas of position development, recruitment and retention; counseling, disciplining and termination; performance appraisals; benefit and compensation issues; policy interpretation; compliance to legal and regulatory agencies to minimize legal and financial exposures to risk from human resource issues, and employee health related issues.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in an acute care hospital setting including Management Level (Manager/Director) experience
Working knowledge and understanding of key functional issues, e.g.
Employee Relations, Compensation, Employee Benefits, Organization Development, Education and Training, Recognition and Retention, HRIS, in addition to generalist experience.
In-depth understanding of the health care industry as well as general business trends which may impact the organization and its operation.
Experience in Acute Care Hospital environment required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills with ability to manage in an environment with very diverse perspectives and needs. Strong counseling, mediation principles and techniques. Solid knowledge of federal and state, labor and employment laws and regulations such as Fair Labor Standard Act, Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disability Act, ERISA, etc. Union experience in an Acute Care facility required.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or other related field
Master’s Degree Preferred

Salary: $108,000 - $162,000
